What to expect during your consultation?

Your Healthier SG (HSG) enrolment consultation is the first step toward proactive and cost-effective healthcare. Here’s what happens:

We’ll recommend annual screenings and vaccinations based on your age, medical history, and risk factors.

We’ll guide you through available government subsidies, including:

Screen for Life (SFL): Subsidised health screenings
Nationally Subsidised Vaccinations: Flu, pneumococcal, Shingles, Hepatitis and more
CHAS and how it benefits you: Your CHAS benefits go towards reducing your out of pocket expenses for consultation, investigations and medications.
Medisave: Understand how you can better use your medisave to offset your cost

Benefits for Singaporeans and PRs?

01. Health Plan Consultation

All Singaporeans & Permanent Residents are eligible for an initial free Health Plan Consultation. At your initial onboarding visit, you will consult our doctor to go through your Personalised Health Plan.

Upon completion, residents will get 3,000 Healthpoints (~$20) through their Healthy365 app.

Enrolment starts 5 July 2023 for those aged 60 years and above.

02. Vaccination Subsidies

HSG Enrolled Singapore Citizens who fulfil the criteria under the National Adult Immunisation Schedule (NAIS) are eligible for fully subsidised ($0) recommended vaccinations when you visit your Healthier SG clinic. The subsidies include vaccination for flu, pneumococcal, hepatitis B and chickenpox.

03. Health Screening Subsidies

Fully subsidised Screen for Life (SFL) programme

For enrolled Singapore Citizens, pay $0 upon visit to your Healthier SG family doctor.

For permanent residents, an additional consultation fee will be charged accordingly.

We offer the following National Health Screening Programmes:

SFL Cervical – PAP smear for women above 25 years old
SFL Chronic illness – Blood test for cholesterol, diabetes, blood pressure screen
SFL Colorectal Cancer – at home stool test kit for colon cancer screen
SFL Breast – Mammogram for women above age 50 years old

04. Medication Subsidies

Enrolled CHAS cardholders may benefit from the Healthier SG Chronic Tier subsidy framework. A list of chronic medications similar and at prices comparable to those prescribed and subsidised at polyclinics will be available.

Our clinics will advise you on whether you will benefit more from this programme, or the current CHAS subsidy tiers.

05. No Co-payment

HSG Enrolled Singapore Citizens with approved chronic conditions can use Medisave to pay for their full treatment at their Healthier SG family physician, up to the Medisave 500/700 withdrawal limit.*

There is no longer the need to co-pay 15% of the bill in cash.

FAQ

Will I get the same medications at AMG as at the Polyclinic?

It depends on the type of medication you need and also prefer. HSG unlocks access to a list of polyclinic generic medications at affordable prices (capped by the government) which we can arrange to be delivered to you at $4 per delivery. This list includes Hypertension, Cholesterol, Diabetes, Kidney, and Heart medications. Most of these medications are around $0.20 – $0.40 per tablet.

There are some more specialised medications that are also subsidised through the HSG programme. Your HSG doctors will be able to explain your subsidies better during your consultation for these special medications.

Do I still need to go to the polyclinic to get a subsidised referral to see a specialist in public hospitals if I choose AMG as my HSG clinic?

No, you do not. As long as you have a CHAS card, your HSG doctors at AMG can arrange a CHAS referral for you to any public hospital. You will be seen at the same subsidised rate as if you went through the polyclinic. If you are Singaporean, you are eligible to apply for a CHAS card. (It takes ~2 weeks for approval, and you may apply anytime at www.CHAS.sg)

Are blood tests expensive at AMG?

Our basic followup blood tests for our patients range from $25 and up. CHAS patients may use their Annual CHAS subsidies to offset this cost. Of course, you may also choose to do more comprehensive health screening packages if you prefer.
