A physical examination will also be performed
If you are an aged-driver > 70 years old, an additional test to assess your mental cognition may also be performed. This will be a simple questionnaire done on the spot.
⚠️ Medical Conditions
LTA has a stringent list of requirements for each different medical condition. If required, the doctor may need to refer you to a specialist or conduct extra tests before being able to pass you for this medical check.
Common Scenarios include:
- History of heart attack or stents – you will need to show proof of recent evaluation of your heart or provide a memo from your cardiologist
- Vision unable to meet requirements -you will either need to get appropriate vision correction devices or produce a memo from an ophthalmologist
- History of seizures – You will need to produce a memo from your neurologist to certify that you are off anti-seizure medications and seizure free.
