What is the Purpose of this Ultrasound?
An ultrasound of the abdomen can help to detect diseases such as fatty liver, gallstones, head of pancreas tumours, spleen problems, kidney cysts, ureter obstructions, and bladder growths or stones. You may include an Ultrasound of the Abdomen as part of your regular health screening especially if you have been diagnosed with fatty liver, gallstones, renal or pancreatic cysts.

You may consult our doctors at any of our clinics for a referral to a radiology centre. Our Bukit Timah clinic at Guthrie House will also be adding ultrasound scans capabilities in mid November 2022. We will update this page soon.

Preparing for your scan
You are required to fast for 4 hours before your scan. This means you may only drink plain water before your appointment.
