Screen for Life and Healthier SG
Screening for chronic conditions and cancer are important. Screen For Life (SFL) is a national health screening programme that seeks to provide basic health screening to eligible Singaporeans and PRs at minimal cost.
SFL (Chronic)
This is a blood test for diabetes as well as cholesterol. All Singaporeans aged > 40 years old are eligible and this can be done every 3 years.
*Do note that once you have been diagnosed with either diabetes or high cholesterol, you will no longer be eligible for this in the future.
SFL (Colorectal)
This is a stool test for trace amounts of blood, done to screen for colorectal cancer. This should be done yearly for all Singaporeans starting from the age of 50 years old.
You will be given a stool collection kit by the clinic. At your convenience at home, collect 2 separate stool samples and bring them back to the clinic for submission.
SFL (Cervical)
This is a HPV test (PAP smear) done to screen for cervical cancer. All sexually active Singaporean females above the age of 25 years old are eligible and should be done every 5 years.
SFL ( Breast )
This is done via a mammogram and all females aged 50 and above should have it done every 2 years.
Subsidies under Healthier SG
For Singaporeans, the above tests are completely free at your Healthier-SG enrolled clinic.
